Predeceased by his loving parents, Mal and Grace Silverman, Barry was deeply shaped by his close relationship with them. He often spoke with affection about trips to Atlantic City and adventures out West with his father—memories he carried with him throughout his life.
Barry is survived by his beloved brother, Andrew Gregg Silverman; his loving cousins, Lesley Olstein, Allison Palace (Michael), Amy Orciuolo (Stephen), and Karen Libretto (John); and his dear nephews, Tyler Berry and Andrew Berry.
Barry spent his career in the food service industry, a field he truly loved. He was admired for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the warmth he brought to every room. A passionate football fan, Barry held a lifelong allegiance to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was fortunate enough to witness both teams win championships in the same year—moments he celebrated with boundless joy.
Known for his big heart and generous spirit, Barry was deeply devoted to those he loved. He took great pride in his appearance and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—especially his annual trips to Ocean City, Maryland, where he delighted in seafood and laughter shared with his dear friend Farren.
Barry held a special place in the hearts of his close friends Ms. Margaret, Shani, Erica, and Tawana, who often spoke of his loyalty and would go to bat for him in any situation.
His sense of humor, kindness, and steadfast love will be remembered by all who knew him. Barry touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly.
