

Born on September 16, 1965, in Canarsie, Brooklyn, Beth was an exceptionally accomplished individual. She graduated magna cum laude from LIU Post in 1986 and earned her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University in 1989. At the remarkable age of 23, she passed the bar and embarked on a successful legal career. She quickly advanced from junior attorney to partner at Callan Koster Brady & Brennan, ultimately transitioning to the assistant managing attorney role at The Hartford. Beyond her professional achievements, Beth was renowned for her extraordinary baking skills, stylish eyeglasses, and incredible generosity.
Generosity was a hallmark of her character, extending far beyond her personal circle. She frequently dedicated her legal expertise to pro bono work, including securing restraining orders for victims of domestic violence within women's correctional facilities. Beth also opened her heart and home to foster numerous children, providing them with love and stability. Furthermore, she consistently donated her time and financial resources to dozens of charities on a routine basis, embodying a truly philanthropic spirit
Beth is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Block; her loving son, Brandon Block, who was the light of her life; her mother, Sharon Swartz; her sister, Alisa Kaplan; her brother-in-law, Michael Kaplan; her niece, Jordan Kaplan; her nephews, Justin and Dillon Kaplan; and her four beloved feline children.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. A private burial will immediately follow.
An abbreviated Shiva will be observed at the residence of Beth and Robert on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Sunday and Monday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beth's memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Save the Children, the Monmouth County SPCA, or Fred’s Team. Her son, Brandon, will be running the New York City Marathon on November 2 with Fred's Team in her honor.
