Carl F. Hexberg

Carl was the beloved husband of Rita Hexberg for over 66 years; devoted father of Barbara Piotrowski (Scott), Francine Hexberg (Gary Magnifico), and Lisa Santana (Vincent Capelli); loving brother of Marlene Lubinger and Maryanne Hexberg; and proud grandfather of Taylor Hexberg, Kristen DeAngelo (Piotrowski), Kara Cassara (Piotrowski), Julianna Santana, and Nicolette Santana.

A true patriarch of his family, he was someone everyone could count on for support, guidance, and a helping hand. He was a natural leader whose kindness and strength touched the lives of those around him.

For more than 40 years, Carl was a proud member of Glaziers Local 1087 in New York City, where he built a respected career and formed many friendships. After moving to New Jersey over 20 years ago, he became an active member of his community. He enjoyed playing card games, billiards tournaments, and participating in many clubhouse gatherings. He was also known for his love of horse racing and organized an annual community trip for “a day at the races.” He also cherished taking day trips with his beloved wife, Rita, going on long drives, and visiting casinos and racetracks. One of his greatest joys was vacationing in Aruba, where the family created countless memories together year after year.

Above all else, Carl treasured the time he spent with his family. His love, support, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Mount Sinai Cemetery, 374 Route 79, Marlboro, New Jersey 07746.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
