

Carl Rosenfeld, 84, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey. He was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to Brooklyn in 1940. He settled in Dumont, New Jersey, where he lived for 43 years before moving to Jackson in 2001.
Carl served in the U.S. Navy prior to and during the Korean War. He was employed by Goodren Products, Englewood, New Jersey, for 53 years, and retired as the plant superintendent in 2000.
He was a past president of the Bergenfield-Dumont Lodge of B'nai B'rith Men and was also the longtime advisor to its youth organization. He was an active member of the Westlake Golf and Country Club community, serving as the Chairman of the Architectural Committee, the Vice President of the Mens Club, Captain of the Bocce team, Chairman of the Bingo Committee and a member of the Building and Grounds and Restaurant Committees.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Arlene: his sons: Steven and his wife Eve, of Manalapan, New Jersey, Jeffrey and his wife Michelle, of Boca Raton, Florida, and Wayne and his wife Lisa, of Staten Island New York; and his grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Hal, Lauren, Hayley and Sydnie.
Funeral services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue (Route #527 North) Manalapan, New Jersey on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. Shiva will be observed at the residence Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. Also at Steven's residence 14 Sutton Drive, Manalapan, NJ: Sunday and Monday. And also Wayne's residence 814 Sinclair Avenue Staten Island, NY: Sunday and Monday. Donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
