David is survived by his spouse of 64 years Elaine Bronstein; daughter Cindi Kaplin and her husband Richard; daughter Sheryl Pilavin and her husband Steven; grandson Daniel Kaplin and his wife Jaclyn; grandson Scott Kaplin and his wife Dana; grandson Spencer Pilavin and his wife Orli; grandson Jason Kaplin; granddaughter Frederique Pilavin and her fiancé Spencer Sklar; granddaughter Madison Pilavin; great-grandson Noah Michael Kaplin; great-grandson Jack Lucas Kaplin; and great-granddaughter Leni Ava Kaplin.
David was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Beatrice Broinstein.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9:30 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 immediately followed by a committal service at 12:30 PM at Mount Ararat Cemetery, 1170 Farmingdale Road, Lindenhurst, New York 11735.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Cindi and Richard Kaplin on Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Thursday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM; and on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Shiva will continue at the residence of Sheryl and Steven Pilavin on Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Shiva will conclude at the residence of Elaine Bronstein on Monday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
