Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Freehold for 30 years before settling in Monroe Township 17 years ago.
Don was a renowned semi-precious stone dealer, was beloved by everyone in the industry, and also worked alongside his daughter, Carrie, for many years.
He was predeceased by his son, Lee, 5 years ago; as well as his parents, Sadie and Philip Goldenberg.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Arlene; his daughter, Carrie, and her husband, Guy; 2 grandchildren: Aidan and Audrey; and 2 brothers: Herb and Robert. To his colleagues, he was known as "Don," but to his devoted family and friends, he was lovingly referred to as "Donny." He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held for Donny on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 1PM at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont. Interment will immediately follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donny's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org.
