

Dora Seidler, 96, of Freehold NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Born in Vienna Austria in 1918 she married Alfred Seidler at 20 and escaped to Israel in 1938 during the Kristallnacht the start of the Holocaust in Austria . http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal night . The next 20 years were equally difficult as Israel came into being. In 1957 Dora and husband Alfred took their children Karmela and Arie to Brooklyn, N.Y.. In their small apartment Dora did dressmaking and alterations to help support her family while Alfred traveled to Long Island City Queens, N.Y. each day to his factory job. After retirement they started to enjoy life. The best years were winters in Florida and moving to Covered Bridge in Manalapan, N.J She was sweet, loving and always had a smile and a good word to say. She will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Seidler was predeceased in 2004 by her loving husband Alfred of 66 years .
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Arie and Bonnie Seidler of Boynton Beach, Fl, a daughter and son-in-law Karmela & Jay Moneta of Lebanon, N.J. ,her grandsons Daniel Seidler and his wife Meredith and Michael Seidler and his wife Kaska , 4 great-grandchildren Estee, Bodie, Sophia and Tobias and other extend family members Jessica Skoy and her children Claudia and Noah, Alyson and Scott Gutmanstein and children Ben and Alec and Mikelle and David Kirschner and children Chloe, Camryn and Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan, N.J. on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, Deans, N.J.
The family will be observing shiva Tuesday and Wednesday at 15 Country Place, Lebanon, NJ and Thursday thru Sunday at 351 Bayshore Drive, Barnegat, NJ .
