Doreen Shapiro, age 79, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on September 19, 2026. She was born on March 18, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York to Abraham and Evelyn Dunn.

Doreen is survived by son Neil Shapiro and his wife Alycia; grandson Alexander Shapiro; granddaughter Heather Shapiro; and sister Eileen Dunn.

Doreen was predeceased by her husband Arnold Krinsky in 2000.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on September 22, 2026 at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11704. All guests are asked to meet outside the cemetery office at 10:30 am.

Shiva will be observed at the residence of Neil and Alycia on Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
