Dorothy E. Sacks

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she resided in Hazlet for 30 years before moving to Aberdeen, NJ for 20 years.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Sol and Florence Ruchlin, her husband: Ralph (2/1984), and her brother: Dr. Barry Ruchlin (2016).

She is survived by her children: Carolyn and Joseph Sansevere, Michelle Price, Jackie and Martin Kott, her sister: Claire Hirsch and her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She attended Brookdale Community College and was on the Dean's List.

She worked for a Philadelphia newspaper which was a subsidiary of Philadelphia News. Also, during her work-time, she was a government census worker. She worked for many years as an office manager including Blackstone Lumber, East Brunswick, NJ.

She was a long time active and involved member of Temple Beth Ahm, including being an avid and major Fundraiser for the Temple beautification, member and Past President of its Sisterhood. She was a member of Hadassah and B'nai Brith.

She also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels for Monmouth County. She was an avid Tennis Player with many leagues. She was a true diehard NY Mets Fan.

Services will be at "Temple Beth Ahm" 550 Lloyd Road Aberdeen, New Jersey on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, New Jersey.The Period of Mourning will be observed at the Sansevere Residence Wednesday and Thursday.
