Eva Kostre

Eva Kostre, 94, of Manalapan passed away on July 12, 2017. Born in Tristene, Poland, she survived the Holocaust and Settled in New Orleans for 6 months in 1949, before moving to Brooklyn, and then New Jersey in 1994. She was predeceased by all 8 of her siblings, and her husband Harry. She is survived by her children, Freda and her husband Bill Pollack of Allentown, NJ, a Daughter Iris and her husband Harvey Kraus of Morganville, her Daughter Helene Kostre and her partner Paulette Petturino, of Brooklyn and her 4 loving grandchildren, Beth and Michele Pollack, and Farah and David Kraus (Hila). Funeral Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, on Friday July 14, 2017 at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY. Shiva will be observed at the home of Iris Kraus on Friday after the burial, Sunday, and Monday. Shiva will then be observed at the home of Freda Pollack on Tuesday, and Wednesday. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to The Alzheimers Association, 3GNY, Decedants of Holocaust Survivors, or Congregation Sons of Israel.
