Frances Solomon

Born on November 17, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Fran was the second of two daughters born to Benjamin and Diane Karp.

Fran attended Lincoln High School were she was a twirler on the cheer squad. She married Michael Solomon and moved to Piscataway, NJ where she raised 3 children , Steven, Leslie and Richard.

Fran worked hard as an administrative assistant at Western Electric and AT&T while working on her associates degree in Accounting from Middlesex County College, and retired from Lucent in 2002.

Shortly after retiring she moved to Monroe Township, living in Greenbriar at Whittingham until 2024 when she moved to Monroe Village. She was a leader in her community and was active in bowling, tennis, golf, pickleball, tech community and “New Kids on the Block”. She was a beloved neighbor and friend.

She is survived by her loving children and 5 grandchildren , Terence, Garrett, Jordan, Zoey and Edgar.

A Funeral Service will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726, US, on June 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm Friends and extended family should arrive between 12:15pm- 12:45 pm for the 1pm service.

Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095,

The Period of Mourning will be observed at the residence of Steven and Brenda Solomon following the burial until 9 pm, Friday:2-5pm, Sunday and Monday 1-4pm, 6-9 pm.
