Gary is survived by his wife Alyce Kaufman of 60 years; son Marlin Kaufman and his wife Cristin; son Brian Kaufman and his wife Erika; granddaughter Kylie Kaufman and her partner Matteo Szarka; granddaughter Annaliese Kaufman; and granddaughter Aurelia Kaufman.
He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Frances Kaufman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on February 12, 2026 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey, 07726 immediately followed by a committal service at 12:30 pm at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey, 07095.
No formal public shiva will be observed.
