

Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Marlboro before moving to Jackson.
Prior to retiring, he was a Director of Print Production for several companies for over 40 years. After he retired, he was a Substitute Teacher for the Jackson Township Board of Education. Mr. Lagary was a member of King Solomon Lodge, Knights of Pythias.
George enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, Phyllis, reading, cooking, and going to the library. He adored his four grandchildren and loved making them laugh. He thoroughly enjoyed causing chaos where ever he went.
Son of the late Irving and Jeanette Lagary, he was also predeceased by his sister Dolores Kufeld and his brothers Murray and Mickey.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Phyllis, his children Jason and his wife Erica and Erica Marriaga and her husband Jesus and his 4 cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Michael and Danielle Lagary and Jaden Marriaga.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan. Extended family and friends should arrive between 12:30 pm and 12:45 pm to pay their respects to the family prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.
Shiva will be observed at the Lagary residence in Jackson on Monday , June 15th and Tuesday, June 16th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
