

She attended Newark State College and graduated with a degree in early elementary education. Harlean enjoyed a fulfilling career first as a schoolteacher, then as office manager at Herbert George Associates for many years. Beyond her professional life, Harlean had a deep passion for needlepointing, pottery, and volunteering in her Jewish community. She served as the first female officer of her synagogue, Hebrew school teacher, and youth group leader for many years. Harlean loved world travel, most importantly her annual trips to Aruba. She was passionate about basketball, her beloved Celtics and her favorite player, Larry Bird. She will be remembered most for her bright smile and the profound impact she made on everyone who knew her.
Harlean is survived by Jerome, her Husband of 64 years; her children, Stephanie (Perry) Loesberg and Steven (Sara) Enis; her grandchildren, Jessica (Aviel), Amy (Jonathan), Jaden and Jaxon; her 3 great-grandchildren, Lea, Isaac and Ezra; and her sibling, Beverly (Lee) Goldberg.
Graveside services of will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 am at Congregation B'nai Israel Cemetery, located at 61 Wood Avenue (Route 522), Manalapan, NJ.
Shiva will be observed as follows: - On Monday June 15th, receiving visitors from 5 to 8 pm, with Mincha service at 6 pm, at the home of Steven and Sara Enis, 5 Millwood Ct, Monroe, NJ. - On Tuesday June 16th, from 3 to 5 pm, at Mattison Crossing, Freehold, NJ. - On Wednesday June 17th, receiving visitors from 4 to 8 pm,with Mincha service at 5 pm, adjacent to the home of Stephanie & Perry Loesberg: 2 N Commerce Dr, 1st floor (next to Dolce & Clemente Market), Robbinsville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Harlean’s memory to The Jewish Agency for Israel – North American Council (JAFINA.org) or JNF Trees for Israel (JNF.org, then “plant trees”).
