Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in North Brunswick, NJ before moving to Monroe Twps., NJ.
Helene was a bookkeeper at Rutgers University, New Brunswick Campus. She was predeceased by her father Harold Reimer.
Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Gary Tinkel, her daughters, Hilary Vernon and her husband Aaron and Brenna Sniderman and her husband Andrew, her mother Beverly Mazzaro, her brother, Glen Reimer and his wife Emilie and her grandchildren, Ethan, Caroline, Ariella, Henry, and Abbott.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 1, 2026 at 10:30am at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave, Manalapan, NJ follow by her interment at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Rd, South Brunswick, NJ. Family and friends should arrive between 9:45am-10:15am.

Shiva will be held at Gary & Helene Tinkel's home 287 Valencia Dr, Monroe Twps., NJ 08831 on Friday after the funeral till 4pm, Sunday & Monday 1-4pm & 6-8pm and on Tuesday 6-8pm.
