Irene Brooks

Born in Brooklyn, NY she resided in Mill Basin before moving to Monroe Twp. Irene was a teacher for the Brooklyn, NY Board of Education.

Surviving is her son Douglas Brooks, her son-in law-Steven Nessenson, her sister-in-law Joan Saroff, her grandson Joshua Nessenson and his fiancée Stephanie Greene, her niece Laurie Saroff and her children Zachary & Danny Singerman and her niece Mara Freedman and her husband Jeff and her children Mason, Alexander and Kayla Freedman.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Seymour Brooks, her daughter Cheryl Nessenson and her brother Lawrence Saroff.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Shiva will be held at the home of Douglas Brooks, 556A Ardmore Rd., Monroe Twp, NJ 08831, from Sunday afternoon, after the funeral, through Friday morning. Please let Douglas know when you will be coming so that he will be prepared for your visit.
