Irene Elena Herbin passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 70. She was a resident of Freehold, New Jersey. Irene was a C.P.A. and was currently spending her time volunteering. She was a devoted Mets fan and animal lover.
She is survived by her brother, Steven Herbin, and her sister, Rose Pasternak. Her nieces, Beth Zahler and Jodie Salit, and her nephews, Jonathan Herbin and Jared Pasternak. As well as eight great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
A graveside service will be held at New Montefiore Cemetery, located at 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY, on February 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Shiva will be observed at Beth Zahler's home, 120 Stiles Place, Freehold, NJ, following the service until 8:00 pm on February 26, 2026. Shiva will continue on February 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on March 1, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
