
Iris lived life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved gambling, Elvis, and her daily Starbucks—simple pleasures that brought her happiness and were a big part of who she was. She was known for her warmth, her loyalty, and her ability to make friends feel like family.
She is survived by her beloved children, Randi Levine and her husband Larry, and Hal Nagel and his wife Lisa Arsenault; and by her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Austin, Chloe, Amelia, and Brooke, who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life.
Iris was predeceased by her devoted husband, Stephen Nagel, and her parents, Louis and Celia Wilen.
A funeral service will be held on January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. The service will be available via live stream (link to be determined).
A committal service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Wellwood Cemetery, 1232 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11704.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Iris’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the ASPCA.
