Jack Fraum, age 92, of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born October 13, 1927 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Benjamin and Mildred Fraum. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Edward, sister Eleanor, and his loving wife of 49 years, Ethel.
Jack is survived by his 3 children and their spouses: Jeffrey & Sarah Fraum, Lori & Ricky Konkowski, Debi & Ted Henritzy; 9 grandchildren: Michelle, Alison, and Ryan Henritzy, Brian, Scott & his wife Hollyn, and Jaclyn Konkowski, Sara, Zachary, and Dianarose Fraum; and his 2 great grandsons: Dylan and Jackson Konkowski.
He served in the Army in Japan after WWII. In his younger days, he was an excellent bowler and softball player. He later coached his son’s baseball teams and became a manager in the Marlboro little league. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandsons play ball in high school and college.
He enjoyed spending weekends with family in Atlantic City and later continued his trips weekly with his co-pilot and good friend Russ. He could be found spending time with family, playing cards with his friends, betting on horses or watching the New York Jets. He lived a full life raising his son and twin girls with his beautiful wife Ethel, and their beagle Mayor. Jack joined his family on numerous beach vacations and was in the front row celebrating all of their accomplishments.
Jack was known for his quick sense of humor and bright smile. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. A committal service will occur at 3:00 PM at Beth Moses Cemetery, 1232 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11704.
The period of mourning will be observed at the late residence on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
