Martin I don't know if you remember me but I knew both your parents from Jersey City. My Mom was Rose Pasqualetto. She was always at your parents shop in fact I was with her a few times. I remember you family well. You had great parents. They were the best and very friendly. You and your family will be in my prayers. Rosemary Pasqualetto

Jack Lubell, Loving husband and father was the third of the four children of Albert and Sarah Lubell, Brooklyn, NY (Solomon, Estelle and Joe). Jack heard the call to duty in 1944, even though he was too young to enlist; he did so in in 1944 at age 17 and served in Europe. After returning home, Jack worked in a luggage factory for Abe Wichtel, a cousin, where he met Ruth (“Ruthie”) Dietch, the love of his life and Martin’s mother. Jack and Ruthie has a food market, Tiger Market, in Jersey City where they settled and raised a family. Jack cared for Ruthie for years of illness before she passed away in 2000. In 2001, Jack met and married Harriet Levine, loving wife of over 20 years. 
As a businessman, Jack was energetic and inventive. Jack owned a drycleaners, a diet candy company that made candy for diabetics, and then a custom blind company, his most successful business which he ran until he was in his 70s. 
Jack will be missed by Harriet, an extended family, friends and employees, some of whom had their first jobs in the United States, who were grateful for the opportunity to work and get established in the United States. Uncle Jack, we honor your loyalty and service to your country, love and care for your family and dedication to your businesses, service and care for your customers and employees.
