

Jack “Jake” Rolnick, 78, of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 11, 1946, Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Jack is survived by his wife Susanne "Su" Rolnick of 38 years; son Jesse Rolnick and his girlfriend Paige; daughter Marni Gastman and her husband Ari; son Michael Rolnick and his wife Janine; son Evan Herskowitz and his wife Melanie; brother Rabbi Schmuel Rolnick and his wife Bayla; sister Jeanie Greenberg; sister Diane Fisher; sister-in-law Joyce Nightingale; five grandchildren: Arianna, Max, Axel, Alexi, and Jace; his dog Jagger; granddog Callie; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mollie Rolnick.
Jake proudly served his country for 3 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as an Air Traffic Controller stationed in Guam. Following his service, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a motor vehicle operator until his retirement.
Jake found joy in music, often strumming his guitar, and was a loyal fan of the New York Mets and Jets. After moving to Westlake Golf & Country Club, he became an active member of the community, especially enjoying time with the Veterans Club, History Club, playing cards, pickleball, and shooting pool. He cherished time with his family—celebrating holidays together and traveling,
He took his grandchildren everywhere, turning each trip into a special memory filled with laughter and love. He proudly cheered them on at their sports games, dance and cheer competitions.
He will be remembered for his love of family and for his loyalty.
A funeral service for Jack will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 10:45 AM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562.
Shiva will be observed immediately following the funeral at Marni and Ari’s house until 4:30 PM and resuming from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM. Also, on Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th at Su’s house from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM and resuming from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
