

He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Philippines.
Dr. Salman served as an honorary surgeon for the NYC Police Department and an Honorary Medical Officer for the NYC Fire Department. He was a Diplomat for the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Salman was a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the American Dental
Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Salman also served as President of the Eastern Dental Society.
Until his retirement in 2000, Dr. Salman served as a professor and chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry
Dr. Salman is survived by his wife Roslyn, a son, Richard; a daughter, Nancy Zinn; his sister, Phyllis Bader; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Graveside Services will be held at Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, NJ on March 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm. The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Richard Salman on Thursday following the burial, and Friday until dark. Memorial Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation. www.alz.org
