Lea was born in the Bronx, lived in Brooklyn where she raised her family, lived in Georgia and Florida, and then moved to New Jersey for her official retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband Hank Buffer who she was married to for 53 years. Surviving are her sons Neil Buffer and his wife Enid, Eric Buffer and his wife Diane, and her daughter Shari Wind and her husband Marc. Lea had 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. Lea also leaves her brother Stuart Lipkin and his wife Ronnie.
Lea was a strong woman who loved life. She always wanted to be with her family and celebrate life. She will be missed.
A graveside service for Leatrice will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.
