Born in White Plains, NY, she spent most of her life in Port Chester, NY. Mrs. Baum also lived in White Plains, NY before moving to Monroe Township, NJ in 2001.
She has been a longtime member of Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel, Port Chester, NY.
Mrs. Baum was predeceased by her husband Harold J. Baum, who died in 1977, and her two sisters Julia Wein and Sylvia Wallerstein.
Surviving are her sons Benjamin M. Baum and his wife Sandra of Monroe and Allan Baum of Israel; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Hoffman and her husband William, Kimberly Akard and David Baum and his wife Caroline; and 6 great-grandchildren: Robert Hoffman, Samuel Hoffman, Bart Akard, Timothy Akard-Burkett, Caitlyn Baum and Emily Baum.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 at Congregation B'nai Tikvah,1001 Finnegan Lane, North Brunswick, followed by interment at Riversville Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
The Period of Mourning will be observed at the Baum Residence 73 Chichester Road Monroe Twp., NJ Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 p.m
