On June 26, 1942, Lloyd N. Howard entered the world into his beloved Bronx, NY. Lloyd was a gifted student who was a truly proud graduate of Stuvesant High School then onto Hunter College (now Lehman College). When he received his BA in Mathematics, Lloyd was a true pioneer in the field of computer science and spent 42 years helping design systems for banking facilities and programs for JC Penney.
In October 1966, Lloyd met the love of his life Sandi Rosenberg from Little Neck, Queens who quickly learned to respect the Bronx, which was important to Lloyd. Broadway and musical theater became their binding ties, and they went to see hundreds of shows in their 54 years of togetherness.
They were married for 51 years and raised 2 beautiful daughters, Laurie Rein and Tracy Gorelczenko. Most amazing of all, Lloyd was the proudest grandfather of six 11 year old grandchildren, including a miracle set of quadruplets, MaryBess, Brady, Toby and Zara Gorelczenko, and a beautiful set of twin granddaughters, Julia and Holly Rein. Lloyd was predeceased by his sister Irene Kronenthal.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Sandi Howard, and daughters Laurie Rein (and Craig) and Tracy Gorelczenko (and Andrew) and his 6 grandchildren, sisters-in-law Lillian Meckler and Muriel Stern and brother-in-law Donald Kronenthal, plus many proud nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
