Loretta Mandel

Loretta Mandel 88, of Englishtown, NJ died on Friday, February 16, 2018. Loretta was born in the Bronx and lived in Somerset, Princeton, Manchester and for the past year in Englishtown. She worked as a secretary in the philosophy department for over 30 years for Rutgers on the Livingston and Douglass campuses. After retiring from Rutgers, she worked at Bristol Meyers Squibb. She attended Rutgers University and received her BA while working there. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane and Nancy Mandel and her surviving four grandchildren, Scott, Julie, Jennifer and Michael. She is predeceased by her husband Bernie. Funeral services will be held at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels at 44 Wilson Ave Manalapan on Sunday, February 18th at 9am. Burial will follow after at Beth El Cemetary in Washington Township. A period of shiva will be observed at Jane Mandel’s house on Monday, February 19th from 7-9pm. Donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org.
