Marvin was born on August 30,1944 in Brooklyn, New York and always felt Brooklyn was his true home even after he moved to Manalapan, NJ in 1970. He graduated from Lafayette High School and went on to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he earned his degree. Marvin worked as a book designer in the publishing field before retiring. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed watching old movies, reading all magazines and books, collecting everything and anything, and rooting for the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Roberta; his daughter Lori and her husband Jason; son David and his wife Jennifer; and the joys of his life, his 6 grandchildren, Jake, Julia, Noah, Emma, Liam and Beckett.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents Lillie and Jacob and his brothers Howard and Arthur.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 followed by burial at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, 61 Wood Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726.
Shiva will be observed at Lori and Jason's house on Tuesday after the cemetery and Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.
