He was a long-time resident of Union, NJ before retiring to Monroe Township. He had a successful career in retail, was the owner of Carol Lane Card and Gift Shop in Springfield, and was a sales representative for several companies. In his youth, he served in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.
Marvin was beloved by all who knew him, with an enviable social life and number of friends. He had an affinity for travel, Jeopardy, a good Jewish deli, attending lectures and spending time with his wonderful friends and family.
He was predeceased by his first wife and first love, Marcia Katzen Weisman. He is survived by his daughters, Jill Seskin (Rob) and Bonnie Weisman (David Papell), and his grandchildren, Kimberly and Marc Seskin, and Darci and Marisa Papell. He is also survived by his second love, Isabel Weisman, and her wonderful family.
Funeral Services will be held at Beth Israel Mausoleum 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 am. If you plan on coming to the service please meet at the cemetery main office by 10:30am.
The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Carol and Kieve Komansky on Tuesday from 4:30-9pm, and Wednesday at the home of Jill Seskin from 4-9pm.
