Mrs. Rosenblatt graduated from Syracuse University in 1968 then went on to study at New York University. Prior to retiring, she worked as a teacher for 15 years at Lakewood Hebrew Day School followed by 15 years at Monmouth Ocean Educational Services.
Melanie is survived by her husband David of 54 years; son Todd Rosenblatt and his wife Lisa; daughter Amy Beth Gingold and her husband Michael; daughter Erica Lynn Leighton and her husband Will; grandson Luke Rosenblatt; granddaughter Emmi Rosenblatt; grandson Ethan Harry Gingold; grandson Dylan Tyler Gingold; granddaughter Juliet Leighton; and grandson Jackson Leighton.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095 immediately followed by a burial.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Todd and Lisa Rosenblatt following the committal.
