Miriam Cohen

Miriam Cohen passed away on December 30, 2016. Miriam (Micki to many) was 69. Surviving are her beloved husband of 46 years, son Mark, daughter Heather and her husband Steve, and her two children Sammy, 6, and Hannah 3, of Cedar Knolls, NJ, her dear sister Janet Oppenheim and her husband Lee of Gainesville, VA, and Miriam 's loving mother Sylvia of Fairfax VA.

Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived in Manalapan. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Cohen was a High School English and English as a Second Language teacher at Red Bank Regional High School for many years. Miriam had been an ongoing and active member in several book clubs. Her greatest joy was planning for and playing with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cohen was a member of Temple Shaari Emeth, Manalapan.

Mrs. Cohen was predeceased by her father, Bernard Kupferman.

Funeral Services will be held on January 2, 2017 at 1 PM at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, (FOR GPS directions, please use 44 Wilson Avenue, Englishtown, NJ 07726), followed by burial at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
