Phyllis R. Cohen, 95, passed away on June 9, 2021. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Edward; her sister, Verna and brother, Sherman. She is survived by her daughter, Robie Barga and her husband, Don, her son, Paul Cohen and his wife, Malia, her three grandchildren, Matt, Sam and Gannon, and her great-granddaughter, Gia.
Phyllis was a graduate of Hillside High School, and Montclair State Teachers College. Phyllis was an avid golfer, Mah Jongg and card player. She was also well-known for her elegant fashion style. One of her greatest joys was dancing with her husband, Edward. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. For many years she was a volunteer member of the Colonia Chapter of Deborah. She was generous, kind, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A graveside service will be held for Phyllis on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ. The family will sit Shiva at the home of her daughter, Robie, in Allentown, PA. Please contact the family directly for the address.
