It is with a mournful heart that we announce the passing of Phyllis Glaz (nee Codding), 71, of Old Bridge New Jersey on June 1, 2020. Born on October 16, 1948, she was the daughter of Dorothy and Albert Codding. Surviving her is her husband Frank Glaz, her children Julie Ann (David) Glaz-Bopp, Ben (Jeanette) Glaz, and Brian Glaz, her sisters Beverly Hassel and Shirley Lamothe, and her cats Little Kitty, Shadow, and Boo Boo.
A former social worker, she chose to leave her career to raise her three beloved children and, in the process, ended up caring for many children in the neighborhood. Phyllis loved talking to people, and couldn't help but make friends wherever she went. She lived her life with a generous and giving spirit and used her talent for crocheting to make hundreds of scarves, hats, and blankets for those in need over the years. Her gifts kept warm those who were cold with loss and gave comfort to those in need.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate if donations would be sent to American Diabetes Association. The family would also appreciate any shared thoughts and memories below.
