Richard Diamond

Born on October 6, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey, Richard was raised in Newark where he developed the strong work ethic, integrity, and sense of responsibility that would define his life. He married the love of his life, Ellen Nemerson Diamond, and together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They began their family in Somerset, New Jersey, before moving to Monroe Township 27 years ago.

Richard enjoyed a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant and co-owner of Kaufman, Diamond & Associates. Known for his honesty, wisdom, and professionalism, he was generous with both his time and expertise. Whether offering financial guidance, mentoring colleagues, or helping friends and family navigate life’s challenges, Richard was always willing to share his knowledge and advice.

While he was proud of his career, Richard’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud “Poppa” to his grandchildren. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved, celebrating milestones, cheering on accomplishments, and simply enjoying being together.

Richard also had a passion for tennis and travel. He loved exploring new places with Ellen, family, and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen Nemerson Diamond; his children, Andrew Diamond and his wife, Rachel; Paige Ehly and her husband, Lee; Todd Diamond and his partner, Melissa; and Brian Diamond. He was the proud grandfather of Justin, Brandon, Skylar, Peyton, Colin, Andrew, Ian, and Will, and the delighted great-grandfather of Ryan.

Richard will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, thoughtful advice, and unwavering love for his family. His kindness touched countless lives, and his legacy will live on through the values he instilled in those who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday July 5, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726.

A Committal Service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095, US, on July 5, 2026, at 12:30 pm.

Shiva will be held at Ellen & Richard Diamond's Home, 48 Brighton Ct, Monroe Twps, on July 5, 2026, After services till 5pm & 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm and Monday July 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Shiva will also be held at Paige & Lee Ehly's Home, 125 Washington Dr, Hawley, PA, on July 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm & 6:00 to 9pm.
