Born in Bayonne, NJ, she resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manalapan, NJ.
Rita was a teacher, she was employed by the Brooklyn, NY board of Education and the Freehold, NJ Township Board of Education.
Rita is survived by her husband of 61 years Richard Singer, her children, Michael Singer and his wife Lori Beth, Carri Singer and Jonathan Singer and his wife Rona, her sister, Bernice Gewirtz and her brother-in-law Bob Gewirtz and her grandchildren, Max, Ben, Jonah, Dylan, Jack, Josh, Teddy, and Hallie.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, 10:30 am at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Committal services will follow at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, 61 Wood Ave. (Rt. 522), Manalapan, NJ 07726.

Shiva will be held at the Singer Home, 6 Day Star Rd, Manalapan, NJ following services 3-7pm, Thursday 12-4pm & 7-9pm and Friday 12-4pm. Minyan will be Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30pm.
