Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Howard Beach until 1991, then settling in Freehold 29 years ago. Roslyn graduated Brooklyn College.
Prior to retiring, Roslyn was an Employment Counselor for New York State until 1987. Roz, as she was known by friends and family loved to knit and crochet, do The New York Times Crossword Puzzle, Cook and especially Bake. She always had baked goods in her freezer for others. She also loved Mah Jongg and Canasta and was a Lifetime member of Hadassah and National Council of Jewish Women where she did philanthropy projects.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Martin, in 1999; her son, Harvey; her son-in-law, Kenneth Hirsh; and her grandson, Michael Hirsh.
Surviving are her son, George Rubin and his wife Sheryl; a daughter, Jodie Hirsh; a daughter-in-law, Marla Rubin; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Rubin, Scott Rubin, Stefanie Rubin, Alex Rubin and his wife Rachel, Matthew Hirsh, and Sara Rubin.
A graveside service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels.
