Ruth is survived by her daughter Sandra Koppel-Rosenthal and her husband Gene Rosenthal; daughter Karen Mushnick and her husband Michael; brother Benjamin Black and his wife Joyce; grandson Jason Mushnick and his wife Mackenzie Meyer; great-grandson Holden Mushnick; grandson Adam Mushnick and his fiance Katie O'Donnell.
Mrs. Koppel was preceded in death by her beloved husband Irving Koppel in 2008 and her brothers Jesse Black and James Black.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. A committal service will follow at 1:00 PM at Baron Hirsch Cemetery, Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10314.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to Jewish Family & Children's Services of Monmouth County, 705 Summerfield Avenue, Asbury Park, New Jersey 07712 and / any Parkinson's charity.
