

Husband, father, grandfather, lawyer, cyclist, model railroad builder, pilot, astronomer, softball league commissioner and first baseman, photographer, artist, black belt, fencer, magician, chef, and knitter, S. Keith Rosenthal lived each day with purpose and compassion.
Born October 27, 1939, in Manhattan, New York, to Jacob and Mildred Rosenthal, Keith passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 86, in his home in Manalapan, New Jersey.
Keith worked for several decades as a matrimonial and family attorney, involved in many high-profile cases, including several that involved the rescue of kidnapped children.
In one of his proudest roles, Keith served as the Commissioner of the Over the Hill Gang, a softball league for senior citizens in Marlboro, New Jersey, for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta Rosenthal; daughter Jan "Nika" Mandelberg and her husband Robert; son Jared Rosenthal; and three grandchildren: Ellie Mandelberg, Sophie Rosenthal, and Lu Rosenthal.
He was predeceased by his sister Judy Rosenthal.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. Friends and extended family should arrive between 10:15am - 10:45am for the 11:00am funeral service.
A committal service will immediately follow at 1:30pm at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey 07652.
Shiva will be observed at the Rosenthal residence beginning on Tuesday following services from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Friday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
