Sallie is survived by daughter Elaine Safchik and her husband Marty; son Philip Schuman and his wife Megan; granddaughter Amanda Feder and her husband Todd; granddaughter Dana Naftaly and her husband Ronnie; granddaughter Leslie Schuman and her partner Liz Huang; and six grandchildren: Shayna, Avi, Benjamin, Judah, Brooke, and Jordyn.
Mrs. Schuman was predeceased by her husband Robert Schuman in 1968; second husband Harvey Cohen; sister Irma Greystone; brother Ira Weiner; and her parents Max and Grace Weiner.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, New York 11003 followed by the burial.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Elaine and Marty Safchik on Thursday and Friday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
