I just read about Sharon's passing. I realized the other day that I hadn't seen her on Facebook for a while. So I went to her profile page and saw the news.

Sharon and I were friends from young childhood. We played together from the time we were about 4 years old. It's fair to say that at the time, she was my best friend. Our mothers were great friends, and they were part of a mahjong group in our little "court" for years. When my family left the neighborhood, I missed Sharon so much, and my mother missed Ida. We stayed in touch for a while, but as these things go — especially once the Seidners moved to NJ — we lost contact, except for our mothers' yearly holiday greetings and occasional phone calls. Sharon and I found each other again on FB, and occasionally texted and talked by phone. 

I have so many childhood recollections of Sharon and the Seidner family from those early days that it'd take a small book to record them all. Sharon used to call me her "memory bank," because I'd remind her of long-ago events that she'd forgotten. How can you say enough about a friend with whom you played dress-up in her mom's shoes, learned to roller skate, and went through Beatlemania? 

I’m utterly shocked by this news. My deep condolences to her family. 
May her dear memory be for a blessing.

I’ve known Sharon for about 10 years and she was such a good friend to me I’m still in disbelief and was heartbroken when I got that call.
She is the kindest compassionate person never judged and always try to advise 
my condolences go out to Her children, sister & family.

I have no words and yet I have so many.   I can’t believe you are gone.  I’ve been in shock since Leslie told me Saturday morning.   So many memories.  We shared so much.  So many good times, and not such good times, and our jobs at Groups in Focus.   Being together on 9/11 while I was thinking the world was ending and you were worried about getting to work on time.  A 30 year friendship abruptly coming to an end.  I will never forget you my friend.  I’m sorry I didn’t tell you what your friendship meant to me.    I hope you knew.   I am going to save Friday’s text messages from you forever.   I will always love you and I will miss you forever.   Rest In Peace my friend.   💔

Sharon and I shared a history with our mothers. I loved my time with Sharon and Ida. She, like her mother, was strong and smart. Sharon was kind and funny with a touch of sarcasm. I will miss her. Much love and strength to Brenda and Leslie and Rob. I know our mothers are weeping for your loss and wrapping their arms around her.

To the family of Sharon,
Today unfortunately we suffer a great loss. Sharon was like a little sister to me, a childhood to adult friend. My heart is aching for such an unexpected  loss. May she RIP with her folks  and let it be known she will never ever be forgotten. RIP sweet Sharon and thank you for being there for me and our crazy lunches with lots of reminiscing.
