Sheila Lowett

November 18, 1939 – March 19, 2026

Sheila Lowett, 86, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. She spent most of her life in Jericho, New York, before moving to Manalapan, New Jersey in July 2024.

Sheila was the beloved wife of the late Edward Lowett, with whom she shared a devoted and loving marriage. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Edith; her sister Carol; her sister-in-law Bernice; her brothers-in-law Bob and Robert; her nephew Eli; and her grandniece Ava.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Barbarino and her brother Jeffery Root, along with her many cherished nieces and nephews: Shari, Ellen, Paul, Audra, Frankie, Mitchell, Steven, Jonathan, Daniel, Amy, and Robert, as well as her many grandnieces and grandnephews. Though she had no children of her own, Sheila was like a grandmother to so many, offering unconditional love, guidance, and warmth throughout their lives.

Sheila dedicated over 30 years of her career as an office manager and bookkeeper for a clothing company in New York City. She was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Above all, Sheila will be remembered for her kind, loving, and generous spirit. She had a natural warmth that made everyone feel welcome and cared for. She was an amazing wife, a devoted sister, and a treasured aunt whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday March 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726.

Burial will take place on Monday March 23, 2026, at 11:30 am at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704,
