Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Greenbriar, Marlboro before moving to Covered Bridge, Manalapan, NJ 16 years ago.
He was a Routeman for Hudson County News Company, Jersey City, NJ for over 45 years retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the Covered Bridge Knights of Pythias.
He was pre-deceased by his wife: Gloria in November, 2000.
He is survived by his children: Harvey Alpert of Marlboro, NJ, Paul and Elise Alpert, both of NYC. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Services will be at Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Blvd. St. Albans, NY on Thursday February 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Harvey Alpert 46 Kingfisher Court Marlboro, NJ.
Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are by "Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels", Manalapan, NJ.
