To all the family - just saw that my oldest friend passed - I enjoyed his friendship for many, many years.  May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Michelle, Aaron, Greg, Howie, and Louis:

Steve, of blessed memory, was a wonderful, kind, sweet person.  We played together, three of us, in three bands, over the span of twenty years or so.
Joyce and I adored Steve.  When Joyce (my spouse) passed away in late 2023, Steve was so kind to  me.  He had tears in his eyes, and will never forget him.  
Thursday evening, February 27th, I called him and we spoke briefly before my rehearsal.  He sounded good.  I was terribly, terribly saddened to learn of his passing the next day.  
I think of Steve every time I play my bass clarinet.
May his dear soul rest in eternal peace.

Michelle and Family l was at temple on Friday night and heard the Rabbi say Steve’s name and she confirmed it was my old friend and neighbor, Donna is deceased now 2.5 years I would love talk to you your son and mine were Barmitzvah together I am living in Covered Bridge call me At 908-907-6626 or send me your number so we could chat I know grieving is hard after our long marriage’s BOB Levy

A  poem for Steve  Pine is what we all need...
He would be disappointed if I didn't succeed,
He always poked fun at each and every rhyme..
So here it is for one last time...
The family met Steve when we were all so young..
He was shy, he was quiet, our hands we all rung..
Michelle, we said, are you sure of this guy...
She smiled so sweetly and said with a sigh...  I love him..
The years flew by, Steve was no longer shy..
He was kind, he was fun, He was smart, that's no lie..
He provided his family with a wonderful life..
And built his empire without much strife.
So now he is gone from our sight, but that's all..
He will stay in our hearts, he will always stand tall..
We'll miss his quips, his laugh and his smile..
Yet we'll feel his presence more than once in a while.
So hear our voices as we sing your sweet song..
And hear our feet tappin as we all dance along..
You made our lives special, you made us all strong..
We will love you forever, nothing will go wrong..

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We played together in the Manalapan Symphony and the Colts Neck Community Band. He was always so friendly and helpful and a pleasure to know. My sincere condolences to his family.

Steve was always fun to be around. Jed and I loved our visits to you. Steve will be missed by all whose lives he touched, and he touched a lot of lives!

Our most sincere condolences for Michelle and family over the passing of Steve. As cousins, we spent time with them visiting during the past few summers and it was a delightful time to reacquaint with family.  Steve was a remarkable mensch and the world was a better place during the time H’Shem granted him the gift of life. We loved his wit and humor and his accomplishments throughout his lifetime. We truly miss him!  Jan and Jed…..

I’m so sorry to learn of Steve’s passing. I got to know Steve through playing together in the Imperial Band of South River, and always looked forward chatting with him at rehearsals. He was such a lovely person, and he will be sorely missed. I send my deepest sympathies to his family.

Steve was a kind and talented man.  I had the privilege of making music with him in the Old Bridge Symphonic Band, and he will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing.  He was such a nice gentleman that I had the honor of playing alongside in both the Old Bridge Band and the Imperial Band.  His musicianship and personality will be greatly missed.
