Stu graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York. He then attended New York University and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting followed by a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree.
Stuart worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He was previously employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, an international professional services firm. Then he joined Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, Inc., the leading investment bank, and worked there for 30 years specializing in taxation and led the firm’s Corporate Tax Department. He was named a DLJ Super Achiever in 1989 and retired as a Managing Director in 2002.
After retiring, he founded the Stuart S. Flamberg Foundation and Gemini Odyssey Investment Partners. Stu enjoyed analyzing and investing in the equity markets. He found joy in gardening and tending to his koi pond. He had a great love for animals, especially his dog, cats and cockatiel. Stuart was also an avid power boater.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 12:30 PM at the mausoleum chapel at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey 07675 immediately followed by an entombment.
