Susan Hochman

Susan was the first baby born on American soil after her Mother, her Uncle, her cousin and her Grandfather (Irene, Joe, Harold and Labe), became the only members of the Bendell family to escape the Holocaust from Poland and Germany. Throughout her Life, she was always conscious about carrying on the legacy of her surviving family and the Jewish people.

Susan lived for her children, her grandchildren and her friends. For many years, she also brought that same love, care and devotion to her many Special Education students in Elizabeth.

Susan is survived by her children Steven Hochman, Bradley Hochman, and Brandon Hochman, her sister Emily Weiss, her brother Daniel Nienatlow, and her grandchildren Kenzie, Kamryn, Kayla, Emma & Jake

Graveside Services will be held at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY on Monday 9/11 at 12:45pm.

Shiva will be observed following shiva at the home of Liza and Dan Nienaltow. 35 Park Rd. Irvington, NY 10533
