Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Marlboro, NJ in 1982, then moving to Freehold, NJ.
Toby was both a director and teacher at Head Start in South Amboy, NJ.
Toby was predeceased by her brother Aaron Spiegler and her parents Sylvia and Bernard Spiegler.
Surviving is her husband of 52 years Ira Lapin, her son Brian, her daughter Stacey and her sister Marcia Cohen.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday February 26, 2026 at 11am at Mount Sinai Cemetery & Mausoleum, 374 Hwy 79, Marlboro Township, NJ 07751.
Shiva will be held at the Lapin Residence, 6 Harte Ct, Freehold Twps. for 7 day starting after funeral services.
