

Albert F. Battistelli. 81, of Manchester died April 11, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Manchester on June 19, 1928, the son of the late Benjamin and Bertha (Andrews) Battistelli.
A lifelong resident he was educated in the Manchester school system and served in the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Manchester Dairy Co and its successor companies, Whitings and Idlenot Dairy.
Mr. Battistelli was a communicant of St. Peter Church and was a member of Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 American Legion. In his younger years he enjoyed playing golf but his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Esther (Campbell) Battistelli of Manchester; four sons, Albert Battistelli of Tuftonboro, NH, Michael Battistelli of Manchester, Richard Battistelli of Raymond, NH and Randy Battistelli of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Battistelli on May 3, 2009.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday April 15th from 10 AM to 11 AM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover St. A memorial service was in the Funeral Home at 11 AM. Urn burial was in the N.H. Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen NH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Manchester Community Health Center, 145 Hollis St., Manchester NH 03101.
