Arthur J. Sfinas, 94, of Manchester passed away March 12, 2014 at the Hillsborough County Home in Goffstown. He was born in Manchester on May 24, 1919, the son of Charles and Helen Sfinas and was educated in the Manchester school system.
Mr. Sfinas was retired from the United States Air Force. He owned and operated D & A Sandwich Shop for many years and later managed the Granite State Meat Packing Plant Cafeteria for several years.
He loved music and dancing.
He was pre deceased by his wife Anella “Nellie” (Rozan) Sfinas in 2001.
He is survived by a son, Larry Sfinas of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Thomas Sfinas of Manchester; five sisters, Harriet Gancarz of Manchester, Effie Tailon of Manchester, Diamanto Cappuchi of Midway GA, Virginia McClusky of Merrill Michigan and Helen Sfinas of Tampa FL and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery.
