Bette Jane Turcotte

Bette Jane (Chouinard) Turcotte, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 14, 2011 at her home in West Rotonda, Florida. She was born in Enfield, NH on April 10, 1939, the daughter of the late Helen F. (Wooster) Fogg and Edward A. Chouinard, Sr.

Raised in Enfield, she was a graduate of Enfield High School in 1957 and attended Denver University thru 1960. She had been a resident of Manchester since 1961 until moving to Florida in 2009.

Mrs. Turcotte retired in 2000 after 30 years of service as a medical secretary, EEG technician and switchboard operator for the Elliot Hospital.

She was devoted to her canine friends; loved flowers, gardening, snow skiing and traveling. She was a former member of the Manchester Ski Team.

Family members include her husband of 46 years, Thomas A. Turcotte of Rotonda West; a daughter, Lynn Letson and her husband Charles Letson, Jr. of Manchester; a grandson, Michael Krebs of Vernon-Rockville CT; two step granddaughters, Jessica Letson Smith and Jennifer Letson; a great grandson, Parker Benjamin Smith; four sisters, Yvonne LaBombard of Lebanon NH, Muriel Maville of Lebanon, NH, Carol Hunter of Alstead, NH and Sandi Chouinard-Evans of Enfield; three brothers, Malcolm Fogg of Lyme, NH, David Fogg of Tempura, CA and Edward Chouinard of Deerfield, NH; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held on Thursday from 9 am to 11 am in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A funeral service followed at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial was in the NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen NH Thursday at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester, NH 03102.
