Charbel Abraham Dagher, 77, longtime resident of Bedford, NH, passed away on July 14, 2025, after a brief illness at the Catholic Medical Center surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Rmeileh, Lebanon on March 1, 1948, to the late Abraham and Martha Dagher. On September 25, 1976, Charbel married the love of his life, and they settled in the Manchester area to start and raise their family. As a man devoted to his faith, he was a communicant for Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Church for many years.
Charbel, who had an amazing work ethic, achieved the American Dream through diligence and hard work. To make an amazing life for his family, that was enriched with love, he owned and operated Rounders Sports Bar & Grill, where his legacy will continue. Charbel was known by many things to many different people, he was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, and was a pillar of the community. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, sharing a meal and hosting friends and family, trying his luck at the casino, or simply playing a game of chess with his grandchildren. Charbel touched many lives in many different circles where he will be fondly loved, cherished, and missed by all.
As the patriarch of his family, Charbel, is survived by his beloved wife, Samia (Akoury) Dagher of Bedford, with whom he celebrated over 48 years of marriage together and his two children, his daughter Christina Dagher and his son Christopher Dagher, both also of Bedford. Charbel was also the doting grandfather to his four grandchildren, Lexina Dagher, Kailah Roberts, Mason Roberts, and Ava Roberts and great-grandfather to Amarah Dagher. As one of nine children, he is survived by his three sisters, Leila Khoury and her husband Ibrahim of Manchester, Madeline Ghattas and her husband Peter, and Khishef Dagher and her husband Sami all of Lebanon, and his two brothers, Jamil Dagher and his wife Rosemonde of Manchester and John Dagher and his wife Diamonde of Tampa, FL. Charbel is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charbel was preceded in death by three of his brothers, Elias Dagher, George Dagher, Nazih Dagher.
Visitation for Charbel will be held at the Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Church, 140 Mitchell Street, Manchester, NH on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 4 – 8 PM. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
