Charles E. Jobin, 81, of Manchester, died January 1, 2016 at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Londonderry on May 23, 1934 the son of Arthur and Edith (Rivet) Jobin. He moved to Manchester with his family and was educated in the local school system.
He was a proud veteran serving in the US Air Force as well as in the Air National Guard. He was employed as a truck driver for Merchants Motors for more than 27 years and also worked at Agway and Carl Subler Co. Charles was a member the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 and was a lifetime member of the Deerhead Sportsmens Club and the Eastside Club. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather.
Members of his family include his wife of 14 years Priscilla (Carter) Jobin, his two daughters Anna Young and her husband Patrick, Marcia Williams and her husband John and his son Robert Jobin and his wife Carol all of Manchester, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, his four brothers Robert Jobin and Henry Jobin both of Arizona, Perley Jobin and his wife Collette of Manchester, Edward Jobin and his wife Louise of Illinois and William Jobin of Goffstown, his stepchildren Scott Clang of Grafton, Robert Clang of Troy, Randy Clang of Manchester and Samantha Holbrook of Pennsylvania as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, inurnment will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. The family requests that memorial donations in Charles’ name be made to the VA Medical Center 718 Smyth Rd. Manchester, NH 03104.
